Byron W. Mayeux, 28, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in Davenport, Iowa. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in care of Beulah Mountain Christian Academy, Beulah Heights, KY; where Byron spent some of his formative years.

Byron Wayne Mayeux was born on September 14, 1986 in Monroe, Louisiana, a son of Silas J. Mayeux and Carol S. Taylor Mayeux. Byron worked in packaging at Oscar Meyer. He attended Bible Missionary Church, Coal Valley and he greatly enjoyed photography, technology and kayaking. His interest revolved mostly around his family, especially his nephews and nieces, whom he continually gave gifts to year around. It can truly be said that he gave more than he received.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Silas Mayeux, Louisiana and Carol Mayeux, Milan; brother, Brent Mayeux, Jacksonville, FL; sister, Julie (Jack) Newsom, Milan; nieces, Britley Newsom (10), Callie Newsom (7) and Reese Mayeux(5); nephews, Sage Mayeux (9) and Zackery Newsom (5); along with many other loving family members.
