Candace Armstrong, 72, of East Moline, formerly of Alpha, passed away Wednesday December 24, 2025 at Hope Creek Nursing Rehab and Care, East Moline.

A memorial visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday January 5, 2026 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Following the service Candace will be laid to rest with her husband in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be left to her family in care of David Anthony.

Candace was born on March 28, 1953 in Moline, the daughter of Earl Leroy and Betty Lou (Meier) Cantrill. She married William Lee Armstrong on March 18, 1989. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2025.

Candace had been employed at John Deere as a forklift operator.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; being outdoors, fishing, cooking and her dogs.

Survivors include her; children, David D. Anthony (Melissa Gustafson) and Lyndy (Doug) Havemann, Jessica Armstrong; grandchildren, Jimi (Glenda) Havemann, Kelsey (Donovan) Dawson, Steven Anthony, Ashley (Lucas) McKenzie, Alexis Anthony (Dennis Kirk), Caitlyn Havemann (Ben Dopson), Tashon Wiseman, Daniel Anthony, Cailey Shell, Isaac (Payton) Armstrong, Savon Armstrong; 8 great grandchildren; sibling, Mark (Jana) Cantrill; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, Earl and Betty; sons, Steve Anthony and Jeffrey Armstrong; brothers, Jeffery A. Cantrill, Terrell Cantrill and sister, Denise Layton.
