Cara M. Kadel, 48, of Taylor Ridge, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. A memorial service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Taylor Ridge. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Reynolds, is assisting the family.

Cara was born in Rock Island on February 7, 1966, a daughter of Marion and Rosalie Crocker Davis. She married Robert Kadel on November 10, 1990 in Edgington.

Cara was currently employed as the secretary of Rockridge High School. She enjoyed spending quality time with her husband and kids, traveling out west, day trips on Harleys and living in her dream home that she built with her husband.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Kadel, Taylor Ridge; children, Jakob Robert and SanaBelle Rae Kadel, Taylor Ridge; mother and step-father, Rosalie and Errol Davis, Reynolds; brother, Jim (Carolyn) Davis, East Moline; sister, Melissa Conklin, Park View, Iowa; half sisters, Jennifer (James) Dailing, Bettendorf and Julie (Dean) Gauley, Reynolds; step-sister, Amy (Dennis) Root, Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Davis, step-sisters, Sue Ann and Lori Kae Davis and grandparents.
