Carmen Marshall, 79, of East Moline, IL, passed away at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis on Thursday, January 20, 2022.  Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carmen daughter of James L. Marshall and Ruth (Gill) Marshall, was born on January 10, 1943 in Moline.  She worked as a certified nurse's aide for many years.

Soft spoken but sassy and spiritual, Carmen loved crocheting, sewing, thrift store shopping, sci-fi movies, meta physics, tending to her house plants, and spending time with family.

Survivors include: daughter, Carol Marshall of Davenport; sons, Darryl Marshall of Rock Island, Antoine Marshall of Rock Island, and Corey (Desiree) Marshall of Davenport; siblings, Dora Holland, William "Billy" Marshall, and Debra Medlock, all of Rock Island; 5 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lois Bond, Doris Taylor, James Marshall Jr., Marva Marshall, and John Marshall.

Death is a natural part of life, rejoice for those around you who transform mourn them not, miss them not for they have returned to the source of all things.
