Carol Lorraine Larson, 81, of Milan, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Country Manor Memory Care, Davenport.  Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Milan.  Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.  Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of First Presbyterian Church, Milan.

Carol was born in Galesburg, Illinois on April 21, 1936, a daughter of Erland and Francis Larson Olson.  She graduated from Moline High School in 1954.  Carol married James Arthur Larson in Davenport on January 8, 1956.  He preceded her in death on January 5, 2007.

Carol worked at the Rock Island Arsenal before getting married and starting a family.  She had a passion for children.  They always had a special place in her heart.  Carol proudly volunteered and assisted with the Milan Little League for many years.  Her favorite holiday was Christmas.  She would start getting ready a year in advance.

Carol was a member at First Presbyterian Church, Milan.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children (and spouses), Lori Bleuer, Milan, David (Suzette) Larson, Virginia, Christine (Eric) Myers, Davenport and Steven (Stephanie) Larson, Ballwin, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Dorothy Burmeister.
