Carol R. Salmonson, 64, of Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island.

Private services for Carol will be at a later date. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Carol was born on May 4, 1959, in Moline, a daughter of Kenneth and Elsie (Oertel) Duranso.

Carol worked for J.I. Case and John Deere. She later worked as a caregiver.

Carol was a very loving and caring person, enriching the lives of those around her. Over the years, many had come to calling her mom.

Survivors include her son, Tyler Salmonson, Rock Island; sisters, Kathy, Julie, and Cindy; and her beloved cats, Mama, Boots and Max.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Eric Salmonson.
