Carole A. Sales, 77, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services at this time. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.

Carole was born on May 17, 1944, in Moline, a daughter of Carl Edward and Blanche (Kirkham) Swanson. She worked as a librarian in Rock Island and enjoyed reading and antiquing.

Those left to cherish Carole's memory include her daughter, Kristi Swanson, Rock Island; son, Steven Swanson, Rock Island; brother, Kirk Swanson; sister, Lynn Kilgus; and close friends, Sharon and Kendall Davis.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents and aunt, Arlene.
