Caroline M. "Carol" Franck, 92, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 at Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Burial is at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Visitation is 9:30 am until service time Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, Moline.

Carol was born May 8, 1924 in Rock Island, a daughter of Carsten and Mary Catherine Walton Franck.

She graduated from Rock Island High School and from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, Davenport in 1946.  Carol served in the Nurse Cadet Corps during WW II.  She worked as a registered nurse in St. Louis, Baltimore and Iowa City, before returning to the Quad Cities.  In 1986 she retired from the office of Dr. Balzer and Edgerton, Davenport, where she had worked for 27 years.

She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Moline and the King's Daughters.

Survivors include her nephew and his wife, John Franck and Paula Moore, Atlanta, Ga.; niece-in-law, Hester Franck, Jackson, Miss.; and great niece, Alexandria Franck, Atlanta.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Howard Franck; sister-in-law, Jean Franck; and nephew, James Franck.
