Carolyn F. Collins, 68, of Andalusia, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 4th Ave. E., Milan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the Cancer Research Institute.

Carolyn Faye Nabors was born on January 24, 1947 in Cairo, Ill., the daughter of Avon and Thelma Barnhill Nabors. She married Alvin J. Collins, Jr. in 1970 in Lacon, Ill. Their marriage was blessed with two children. Carolyn worked in Food Service at the Scott Co. Sheriff's Department for over 20 years, retiring in 2008.

Carolyn was a member of Community Baptist Church, Andalusia. She greatly enjoyed meeting new people, painting and worshipping with her church family. She had a very special place in her heart for her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her niece and nephew.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stacy Ann (Tony) McCabe, Griffith, Indiana and A.J. (Ira) Collins, III; grandchildren, Justin, James and Brandon Botkin, Kerrick, Eion, Fiona, Lochlan and Phelan McCabe and Maria, Yasha, and Evelina Collins.; great grandchildren, Emily, Amber and Miranda Botkin; a brother, Gary (Connie) Nabors; a niece, Caylee Nabors, a nephew, Mark Nabors and several other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents
