Carolyn J. Hurry, 79, of Milan, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Graveside services for Mrs. Hurry will be Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Beulah Cemetery at 11:45 am. Visitation will be Monday from 10 am to 11 am at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Carolyn was born on March 28, 1945, in Davenport. A daughter of William and Laura (Bartlett) Hudson. She married Albert Hurry on August 19, 1967, in Rock Island. Carolyn was a secretary at Bear Manufacturing, Rock Island, Children's Dental Clinic, Moline, and had worked with her husband in retail sales. Carolyn was a champion in rifle shooting competitions. She had also won several dog and horse shows. Carolyn loved to travel the United States and foreign countries. She was federally certified in the search and rescue of animals.  Carolyn had been a 4-H advisor.

Survivors include her husband, Albert; a sister, Patricia (Peter) Connelly, Bellevue, Iowa.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Arlene Hudson.
