Cary G. Wilcox, 78, of Rock Island, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Generations, Rock Island. Private graveside services for Mr. Wilcox will be Thursday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post No. 246. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Cary was born on October 4, 1940 in Rock Island, a son of LeRoy and Lillian Lempfert Wilcox. He married Carol Nicholls in Rock Island. She preceded him in death in 2014. Mr. Wilcox worked as an assembler at Case International, Rock Island for 25 years, retiring in 2010. Cary enjoyed going to the casino, fishing and hunting. Mr. Wilcox was an U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

Survivors include his grandsons, Andrew DeHaven, Pittsburgh, PA., Brian (Heather) DeHaven, Rock Island and Chad DeHaven, Rock Island; five great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Online condolences may be left for the family at wheelanpressly.com
