Casey J. Habel, 61, of Rock Island passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at home.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held for Casey at a later date. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Casey was born on April 23, 1962 in Rock Island, IL, a daughter of Gene and Shirley (Jones) Galbraith. She stayed home to care for and raise her four children.

Casey's hobbies included scrapbooking, crafting, trivia and getting her nails and hair done. She was a huge Disney fan and thoroughly enjoyed taking her kids on trips to Disney World. Her favorite character was Betty Boop and she also enjoyed watching Harry Potter. Some of her all-time favorite restaurants were Krispy Kreme and The Cheesecake Factory. In her free time, Casey enjoyed being a representative for Tastefully Simple.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Chelsey Mayo, Peoria, IL, Zachary Mayo, Logan Habel and Caleb Habel, all of Rock Island; several grandchildren; nephew, Timothy Galbraith; and cat, Chloe.

Casey was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lori Minor.
