Catherine Duncan Macdonald died peacefully in her sleep after a lovely evening with friends, Wendy Rowand and Troy Gomez at her residence on January 24, 2022.

Cathie, as she is known to family and friends, is the daughter of Arthur and Mary Catherine Duncan Macdonald.  She was born on November 11, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee.

She leaves her sisters, Susan (Tom) Glenn, Margo Macdonald, and Mary Tomlinson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cathie graduated from Memphis State University and taught school in Memphis for many years.  She was active in the Memphis Educational Association gaining many professional friends.  She left teaching to become a Uniserve Director for public schools in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Washington State, ending in Illinois.  Cathie is remembered as a wonderful hostess, creating lovely parties with the best food.  She loved gardening and her dogs and cots.

We will hold a parade next November to honor and remember her.
