Cecelia  A. "Cece" Vogler, 90, of Rock Island, formerly of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island. Services for Mrs. Vogler will be 10 am, Monday at First Christian Church, 1826-16th St., Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 4 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Milan. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or to the First Christian Church, Moline.

Cece was born on October 28, 1925 in Macomb, a daughter of Cassius A. John and Ethel Macklen John. She married Wilbur "Bud" Vogler on November 8, 1941 in Macomb. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2011. Mrs. Vogler worked as the head cashier and bookkeeper at the former Geifman Food Stores for 29 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of First Christian Church, Moline, the preparatory diaconate and Lydia Group of the church. She was a past president of the Sherrard Band Boosters Club. Cece enjoyed bowling, crocheting and knitting.

Survivors include her children, Marsha (Leonard) Dorothy, Moline, and Jerry (Suzanna) Vogler, Normal; grandchildren, Todd (Leah) Dorothy, Kristen (Todd) Eilts, Tara (Steve) Cutaia, and Benjamin Vogler; great-grandchildren, Payton, Parker, Sarah, Euler, Feynman, Linnaeus, Pauling and Wilson; a brother, Richard (Irmalee) John, Good Hope, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
