Charles E. Anderson, 83, of Moline, passed away Friday May 20, 2016 at UnityPoint- Trinity, Rock Island.

Graveside services, with military honors presented by American Legion Post 246, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26th, at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Those wishing to attended are to meet at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island.

Charles was born December 28, 1932 in Davnport, Iowa, a son of Clark and Ruth Justice Anderson. He was first married to Mary Ellen Quinn. He later married Sharon K. Witmer on December 7, 1974 in Andalusia. Sharon preceded him in death on April 20, 1988.

Charles was employed with Saelens Beverage, Inc. for over 25 years. He then worked at Bi-State Packaging until his retirement.

Surviving are his children, Linda Loving, and her husband Jack, Wilton, IA, Lorrie Welsh, Rock Island, Charles E. Anderson II, Colona, and Jeremy Anderson, Moline; granddaughter, Brandi Welsh; and one niece and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law, Curt Welsh, and brother, Gene Anderson.
