Charles M. "Chuck" Brooks, 69, of Milan, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7 ^th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Living Lands and Waters or to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Chuck was born November 15, 1949 in Morrison, Illinois, a son of Chester and Juanita (Smith) Brooks.  He served his country in the U.S. Army.  He married Roberta Huff on September 9, 1972 in Colona.  Chuck worked as a Supply Clerk at the Rock Island Arsenal for 32 years.  He retired in 2014.  He was a member of the German Shepherd Club in earlier years and he also enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, gardening and cooking.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Robbie; daughter, Stacie (Greg) Simon, Taylor Ridge; grandchildren, Marc, Kylee and Aydin Simon; sister, Karen (Gerald) Graham, Springfield, OH; brother in law, John (Virginia) Huff, Canton, sister in law, Nancy Huff, Moline; multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friends, Kim and Jeff Haynes, Davenport, Jan and Jerry Swanson, Milan and many more extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Wells and special friend, Lois Baumunk
