Charles E. Clark, 66, of East Moline, IL passed away Monday August 7,

2017 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.

Local visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at

Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.

Additional visitation and services will follow in Jackson, TN, where

arrangements will be entrusted to Bledsoe Funeral Home, Jackson. Burial

will be at Parkway Memorial Gardens, Jackson.

Charles was born January 9, 1951 in Lake Placid, FL, a son of Clarence

and Ruth Gadsen Clark. He graduated from Lane College in Jackson.

Charles and Beverly R. McIntee were united in marriage on June 30, 1973

in Jackson.

Charles was a member and had served as a shop steward of U.A.W. Local

865, East Moline. He was employed at John Deere Harvester Works, East

Moline for 36 years prior to his retirement.

Big Charlie was known for his love of cooking and grilling.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly, of East Moline; children, Keena

Clark, East Moline, Charlise Clark, Memphis, TN, Alexis Clark, East

Moline, and Charlene Clark, East Moline; grandchild, Kiana Clark,

East Moline; siblings, Roger Munnings, Ross Hendricks, Nathaniel Gadsen,

Cornelius Munnings, Curtis Hendricks, Juanita Walton, Brenda Smith,

Linda Stone and Tony Munnings, all of Florida; and a host of nieces,

nephews and additional family.

Charles was preceded in death by his father; mother; and one brother,

Murtis Hendricks.
