Dr. Charles C Gerleman, 94, of Reynolds, passed away Saturday September 7, 2024 at Clarissa Cook, Bettendorf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am Thursday September 12, 2024 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Pius Church with a rosary recited at 9:30 AM. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is in charge of arrangements. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in care of Calvary Cemetery road fund.

Charles was born on July 19, 1930 in Ossian, Iowa, the son of Leo and Lorraine (Zweibormer) Gerleman. Charles joined the United States Air Force during the Korean War serving from 1950 to 1954. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Truman State University, Kirksville, Missouri and later graduated from Palmer College with his Doctorate in 1968.

Charles married Dorothy Rourke on October 8, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Dr. Gerleman was the owner and operator on Gerleman Chiropractic, Milan for over 35 years.

He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church, both of Rock Island, Knights of Columbus Allouez Council 658, Milan American Legion, Milan Optimist, Illinois Chiropractic Society and the American Chiropractic Society.

Those left to cherish Charles memory include his children, Dr. Teresa Peck, Dr. Diane (Andrew) Baldwin, Dr. Dennis (Jeanette) Gerleman, Dr. Patricia Basala, Donna (Rodney) Adams and Dr. Mark (Dr. Jennifer) Gerleman; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nobert Gerleman and Mary Ann Sadler.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy; Parents, Leo and Lorraine; sons in law, Kevin Basala and Dr. Eugene Peck; siblings, Edwin Gerleman and Dr. Gerald Gerleman.
