Charles E. Crocker Jr., 85, Andalusia, IL passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at his home. There will be visitation from 4-7:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Andalusia Community Baptist Church. Burial at Andalusia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
Charles was born March 14, 1938 in Rock Island, IL to Mary (Hollopeter) and Charles Crocker Sr. He served in the Army National Guard for 10 years then started his 38-year career with Eagle Foods where he worked as a receiver until his retirement.
On June 1, 1974 he was united in marriage to Carol Kramer in Kewanee, IL. The couple raised their three children in Neponset before moving to Andalusia where they have made their home for the past 37 years. They were active members of Andalusia Community Baptist Church.
Charles loved sports, especially football. He was a diehard Rockie fan who never missed a basketball or football game. He enjoyed traveling with Carol and cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Charles was always the man behind the camera at events and get-togethers.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Carol; children, Eric (Sara) Fisher, Dawn (John) Quinn, Jonathan (JoDee) Crocker; sisters, Pauline Peterson and Rosalee Davis; grandchildren, Austin (Felicia) Squires, Arianna Squires, Michaela Squires, Ivan Fisher, Shane Fisher, Noah Crocker, Kallissa Crocker, and Malachi Crocker; great-grandchildren, Anya Squires and Owen McFadden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Arthur Crocker, Violet Jones, and Margaret Haines.
