Charles H. Planthaber Jr., 74, of Moline passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at home.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are to be held. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Charles was born on September 16, 1948 in Morrison, IL, a son of Charles Sr. and Emma Viola (Asbury) Planthaber. He worked as a laborer and inspector for Northwestern Steel and Wire for over 32 years before retiring.

Charles' hobbies included coon hunting, watching football and baseball, going for walks, and taking care of animals.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kimberly; daughters, Heather (Andy) Anderson and Georgie (Daniel) Holt; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and sister, Vickie (Lester) Weaver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bonnie Sue Planthaber.
