Charles L. Tanner, 87, of Rock Island passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at UnityPoint Health- Trinity, Moline.

Services will be 10:00 am Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Charles was born on October 6, 1934 in Rock Island, the son of Alfred and Edith (Hamerick) Tanner. Mr. Tanner worked in maintenance for 26 years with the Centennial Bridge. He thoroughly enjoyed working with people.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Charles (Lola) Tanner, Guam, Kevin (Shirely) Tanner, Milan and Scott (Mary) Tanner, Rock Island; grandchildren, Jay, Deannea, Brad and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Charles James and Lo'ani Jane; brothers, Anthony, Harlan and Kenneth Tanner; and sister, Pam Ciricione.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne and Elknna Tanner; and sister, Gail Fredrickson.
