Charlotte Ander, nee Yazman, 93, of Lake Zurich, Ill., formerly of Rock Island, peacefully passed Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at Journey Care Hospice Center, Barrington, Ill.

Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Congregation Beth Israel at the Tri City Jewish Center, Rock Island.  Burial is at Hebrew Cemetery, Rock Island. Luncheon to follow.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.  Memorials may be made to the Tri City Jewish Center or your local animal shelter.

Charlotte was born April 9, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa, a daughter of Robert and Rose Yazman.  She married Nathan Ander on Jan. 11, 1948 in Des Moines.  He died Dec. 25, 2005.

She and her husband, Nathan, owned and operated the former Henry's Drive –In Restaurant, Rock Island, for 30 years until their retirement in 1991.

Charlotte was a member of Congregation Beth Israel at the Tri City Jewish Center and the Center's Sisterhood.

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Vorona, Schaumburg, Ill., Carol and her husband Craig Levin, Palatine, Ill., and Jane Ander, Lake Barrington, Ill.; grandchildren, Emily, Daniel and wife Patricia, Keith and wife Gretchen, and Scott and wife Jacqulyn; great grandchildren, Grace, Ella, Noah, Rebecca, Sophia, Avery and Bennett; and her 96 year old sister, Evelyn Yazman, Des Moines.  She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
