Cheryl L. McCorkle, 65, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Funeral services are 12 p.m. (noon) Friday, November 18, 2022 at the KNOX CHAPEL of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline.

Cheryl was born September 2, 1957, in Moline, a daughter of Waylan Clay and Charmaine McCorkle. She graduated from Rock Island High School and went on to earn her Bachelors of Science from Western Illinois University.

Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her mother, Charmaine Brodnax; children, Marlon McCorkle, Alexander Christopher McCorkle, and Cherylondia Carr; grandchildren, Khyree J., Kobe J., Heavenly, Atarus, Amirra, and Ja'Miah; 1 great grandchild; siblings, Darlene (Miller) and Lawrence Herndon, Deborah (Miller) and Lee Carter, Shannon Brodnax-Jones, Milton and Juanette (Hosley) Miller, and Hilton Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father and sister Charmaine "Tina" Miller.
