Chranda Latrice Eggleston was born on Friday, November 24, 1978 in Kankakee, Illinois, to Gary and Diane Mayfield. She was educated in the Kankakee County Public School System and later attended schools in Heilbronn, Germany during her father's Army deployment. When the family was stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Chranda attended Liberty County High School in Hinesville, Georgia.

After completing high school, Chranda entered the healthcare field, becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant and providing compassionate care to patients in Chicago, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin before settling in Rock Island, Illinois. Chranda's warm and loving personality made her an exceptional caregiver. She enjoyed making her patients laugh with a one-of-a-kind personality that was unforgettable. To know her was to love her.

One of Chranda's proudest accomplishments was becoming the mother of two beautiful children, Stanley Golden, Jr., and Dai'zahna Arjoy Brazier, whom she loved with all her heart. Born into a large family, Chranda loved spending time with her brothers and sisters, cousins, extended family members and friends. She was generous, loyal, and forgiving with a humorous and encouraging spirit. Chranda was a loving and protective daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend.

Chranda became ill and departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity in Rock Island, Illinois.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Gary and Diane Mayfield; her son Stanley Golden, Jr., and daughter Dai'zahna Brazier;her maternal grandparents Essie Lunceford and Jimmy L. Eggleston; her beloved life-partner, Michael Anthony Waters; six brothers; Delmiro Eggleston, Richard Smith, Rashawn Jackson, Julian Mayfield, Gary Mayfield Jr., and Chris Mayfield; five sisters; Kiesha Mayfield, Iesha Eggleston, Niecey Clay, Shatika Nance, and Amber Holcomb; four aunts; Loretta Betts, Martha Eggleston, Jacqueline Egglestonand Sherri Eggleston, three uncles; Clyde Mayfield, Wendell Mayfield and James O. D. Mayfield, Jr.;two sisters-in-law; Loressia Eggleston and Amber Mayfield;23 nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives and close friends. Chranda was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother and grandfather, James O. D. Mayfield, Sr.,and Daisy Mayfield; her uncle, Sebon Mayfield, and her nephew, Rashawn Jackson, Jr.
