Christian F. "Chris" Hanshaw, 96, of Davenport, formerly of Moline,

passed away Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice

House, Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral

Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island, where visitation will

be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday. Burial, with military honors

presented by Moline American Legion Post 246, will be at National

Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook

Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Chris was born December 8, 1919 in Rock Island, a son of Christopher

M.J. and Fredricka T. Ebert Hanshaw. He was a United States Navy veteran

of World War II. He first married Catherine "Kay" Kanis. She preceded

him in death. He later married Jeanele Isenberger Jones.

Chris worked for many years for Imperial Eastman Co. in the Chicago

area prior to his retirement.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanele, of Davenport; daughters (and

spouses), Linda (Ron) Springmeier, Lake in the Hills, IL, Carol (Ed)

Morrissey, LeClaire, IA, Nancy (Bob) Kuta, Davenport, IA, Sandra (Greg)

McKinney, Donahue, IA, and Susan Elias, Blue Grass, IA; many

grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and additional

family.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, "Kay"; two

brothers and two sisters.

Chris's family wishes to express a special Thank You to the staff of
