Christine Elizabeth Ernat, 56, of Sherrard, Ill., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at home surrounded by family.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan.  A rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm Monday, July 10, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan, with visitation following from 4-7 pm.  Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Viola, Ill.  Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Chris was born in Los Angeles, Calif. on June 22, 1967, a daughter of Patricia and Del Moore.  She graduated from Moline High School and Black Hawk College.

Chris married Michael Ernat on May 18, 1996 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island.  She worked as a librarian for Black Hawk College.

Chris loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was an avid golfer and member of Pinnacle Country Club.  She was an enthusiastic sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Haweyes and Chicago Bears.  She also had a blast bowling with her Tuesday night bowling team and enjoyed playing softball.  Chris was jokingly known as the "social director" to the many groups of friends she spent time with.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mike Ernat, Sherrard; children, Jeremy (Tamlyn) Thomas, Dominic (Cami) Ernat and Joseph (Jordan Baum) Ernat; grandchildren, Ford, Roman and Sage; mother, Patricia Moore, Yuma, Ariz.; step-sister, Kory (Fred) Power; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Staci Early.

She was preceded in death by her father.
