There will be a visitation from 10-11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Memorials may be made to the ARC of the Quad Cities (4016 9th Street, Rock Island, IL, 61201).
Christine was born on December 11, 1961 to Francis Edward and Sue Carol (Wood) Vroman in Rock Island, IL.
Christine resided at the ARC Home where she was adored by the staff and residents. She enjoyed watching cartoons, especially Loony Tunes. In addition to taking picture with her iPad, she also loved going to yard sales and collecting purses and billfolds. Her favorite thing to do was to go with her family to McDonald’s and get a cheeseburger happy meal with a fries, apples, and a mocha frappe and then have lunch at a nearby park. She had a large collection of the toys and liked to share with her nieces and nephews if she ever got a duplicate.
Christine had an exceptional memory for dates and calendars, able to recall birthdays, holidays, and even what day of the week they fell on—often months in advance. Christine was truly beloved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her mother, Sue Carol Vroman; siblings, Michael (Bonnie) Vroman, John (Rosa) Vroman, and JoAnn (Jeff) DePauw; her godmother, Katy Dean; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Francis; sister, Jan Vroman; and niece, Laura Vroman.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at the ARC for their years of care and compassion, and to the staff at UnityPoint Hospice for their kindness and support during Christine’s final days.
