Christopher S. Messer, 58, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. There will be no services at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the family.

Chris was born on February 5, 1962 in Davenport, a son of Gerald and Pamela (Blunt) Messer. He graduated from Davenport Central High School, Class of 1980. Chris worked as a tile setter at Abbey Carpet Gallery. He enjoyed playing golf and watching sports.

Chris is survived by his children, Austin Messer, Christen Messer, Shauna Abrams, and Chauntae Tate; granddaughter, Laila Tate; father, Jerry (Diana) Messer; and sister, Barbra Warren.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela.
