Christy Danielle Jacks, 47, of Moline, went to heaven on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at UnityPoint Health- Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Elim Covenant Church, Moline. Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made in care of Elim Covenant Church or to the ARC of the Quad Cities Area.
Christy was born in Moline on June 26, 1968, daughter of Duane and Carol Beresford Jacks. She was a cheerleader for and graduated from Black Hawk Area Special Education in East Moline. She enjoyed working at ARC Industries for the last 26 years.
Christy was a member of Elim Covenant Church in Moline. She loved going to church where she enjoyed singing and praising Jesus. Christy was a poster child for the MDA Telethons and always loved riding on the MDA float during the Kewanee parade. She was full of life and a hard worker. Christy's loving and joyful personality allowed her many friends. She never met a stranger. Christy participated in the special olympics and was a huge fan of Mickey Mouse, whether it was collecting figurines, watching on TV or wearing the clothing. Christy was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved playing computer games and cards. She also loved several pets she had over the years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Duane and Carol Jacks, Moline; brother and sister-in-law, Bradley and Delia Jacks, Chicago; grandparents, Lyle and Maurine Beresford, Moline and Yvonne Jacks, Rock Island; niece, Brittney (Joe) Perez; great-nephew, Collin Perez; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnold Jacks and Betty DeVore.
