Clarice was born in Chicago, IL on June 4, 1943, a daughter of Dominic and Julia Vig Bruno.  She has fond memories being raised in West Michigan playing with her sister, Anita, brother, John and many cousins.  Clarice graduated from Columbus Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago after graduating from high school.

Clarice married William G. Howe on September 4, 1971 in Spring Lake, MI.  He preceded her in death on January 15, 2017.  Clarice decided to move from Wisconsin to Illinois shortly after to be closer to her family.

Clarice was a nurse for nearly 40 years at various hospitals throughout her career.  She retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Clarice was proud of her catholic faith and was very faithful and active at both, St. Francis Borgia in Cedarburg, Wisconsin and at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.  She was always volunteering or participating in various church activities.  She also attended daily mass.

Clarice was very fond of animals and had many dogs and cats throughout the years.  She loved Lake Michigan, being at the beach, being outside and about anything else you could do in nature.  She was a fan of the Native American Culture as well.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, William (Monica) Howe, Milan; granddaughters, Lila and Cora Howe; sister, Anita (Dan) Bouma, Spring Lake, MI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, John Bruno.
