Clifford F. "Skip" McLaughlin, 91, of Moline, died Sunday, May 29, 2022 at his home. Private graveside services were held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan assisted the family. Memorials may be made to the Milan Christian Food Pantry.

Skip was born on July 27, 1930 in Hampton, a son of Joseph and Eva (Coon) McLaughlin. He married Sharon Esser on May 12, 1972 in Rock Island. Skip worked for Frank Foundry in Moline for 35 years, retiring as personnel manager in 1992. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Skip enjoyed playing softball, bowling and boating.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; son and his fiancé, Matthew McLaughlin and Laura Taylor, Moline; sons and daughters, Clifford R., Cindy, Tracey and Tony; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers in law and sisters in law, John and Jackie Esser, Geneseo and Nancy and Denny Downs, Anchorage, Alaska.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, and sons, Joey and Perry.
