Obituary

Cloria C. Morrison, 77, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.

Cloria was born on April 11, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Cloteal Norton and raised by her grandmother, Louisiana Norton. She graduated from high school and later married the love of her life, Oscar “Sunshine” Morrison, on December 20, 1997, in Rock Island.

Cloria dedicated more than 20 years of service to Davenport Bank and Trust before retiring. She had a passion for cooking, sewing, and she was a talented seamstress. She also enjoyed spending time with her dogs and listening to music. Above all, Cloria treasured her family and the time spent creating memories with those she loved.

Those left to cherish Cloria’s memory include her children, Deanne (Ronald) Simmons, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Indiria Walls, James Walls, Angela (Robert) Walls-Holland, all of Rock Island, Tasha (Michele) Sierra, Davenport; adopted daughter, Tshawna Wheeler; grandchildren, James Walls, Jameshia Walls, Tiaira Walls, Tevin Walls, Ronald Hanson, Amere Hanson; adopted grandson, Joseph Westbrook III; several great grandchildren; sisters, Mae (Pete) Mickeal, Moline, and Theresa Johnson, Rock Island; aunt, Ester Coneal, San Jose, California; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cloria was preceded in death by her grandmother and mother, Louisiana Norton; “Ma”, Cloteal McGee; brothers, Charles and Douglas McGee; sister, Charlene Dilworth; nephew, Charleston Deon Dilworth; and great niece, Asya Branigan.
