Cole E. Davis, 33, formerly of Moline, died Sunday, July 13, 2014

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to an education fund for his daughter, Mena Davis at any I H Mississippi Valley Credit Union location or sent to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island to be forwarded to the family.

Cole was born Aug. 16, 1980 in Peoria, the son of Thomas and Amy Jobe Davis. He married Asa Naab, the mother of his daughter Mena and later married Amanda Orton.

He graduated from Moline High School and was self-employed as a guitar instructor. Cole attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, Gilbert, Az. and had written a music score which was used by the UCLA film department.

He was an avid musician, artist and composer. Cole also enjoyed fishing and was a Yankees fan, but his greatest love was for his daughter, Mena, whom he adored, and for his nephews.

Cole is survived by his wife, Amanda, Rome, Ill.; his precious daughter, Mena of Bettendorf; stepson, Levi Sparks, Rome; parents, Tom and Teri Davis, Coal Valley and Amy and Steve Frahm, Princeton, Iowa; sister and brother-in-law, Lauren and Kenny Cook, Atkinson; stepsister, Brittany Frahm, Princeton; nephews, Parker Traman, Kemper and Ryker Cook, all of Atkinson; grandparents, Bob and Betty Davis, Peoria, Shirley Jobe, Macomb, Dee Bennett Krosch, Rock Island and Kay and Jim Frahm, Clinton, Iowa; father-in-law and mothers-in-law, Pam Orton, Chillicothe, Ill. and Rich and Connie Orton, East Peoria, Ill. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Jobe; and step-grandfathers, Larry Bennett and Duane Krosch.
