Colleen was born April 26, 1938 in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Robert E. Fallon and Florence (Arthur) Fallon. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in Keokuk in the Class of 1956. Following graduation, she worked for Keokuk Gas Service Company until her marriage to W. Gerard (Gerry) Huiskamp at St. Mary's Church in Keokuk on August 18, 1962.

Colleen certainly followed the principle of "Service to others before self." Her first interest was dedicating herself to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was also ready to be a room mother at Jordan Catholic School, a member of the Alter & Rosary Society, making flower arrangements for her church and for neighbors, being part of Junior Board of Rock Island, volunteering at Christian Care Center or making hundreds of ham sandwiches for the Rock Island American Legion Baseball team.

Surviving Colleen are her husband Gerry of 59 years; children, Heidi Huiskamp-Collins and son-in-law Steve Collins of Bettendorf, IA, J. Gerard Huiskamp and daughter-in-law Mary Kate Flynn of Mansfield, MA, James H. Huiskamp and Stephanie Dittmer of Davenport, IA, Heather Kemp and son-in-law Kristopher W. Kemp of Nashville, TN,  and John R. Huiskamp and daughter-in-law Shelly Huiskamp of Cedar Rapids, IA; 16 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and sister-in-law Gloria Fallon of Oregon, IL.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Barbara Fallon, Michael Fallon, and James Fallon.
