Cora Ann (McCannon) Heady, 58, Taylor Ridge, IL passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her home. There will be a visitation from 2-4:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Memorials may be made to the family.

Cora was born on March 29, 1964 to Russell A. and Sue Ann (Fifer) McCannon in Moline, IL. She grew up in Andalusia and graduated from Rock Ridge High School in 1982. After high school she went to beauty school before starting at the phone company. Until her retirement, she worked for AT&T as a customer service and sales representative, winning many prizes and trips during her 20 years there.

On January 30, 2010, Cora was united in marriage to Todd Heady and the couple made their home in Port Byron where she raised chickens and very briefly, a few cows.

Cora loved gardening and crafting but her passion was spending time boating on the Mississippi. She was an avid traveler, going on vacations as often as she could. Cora cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, Russell A. and Sue Ann McCannon; children, Scott (Darcie DeWitte) Reid, Len (Angela) Reid, and Matthew (Amberly Thuline) Horsman; siblings, Cindalene Lincoln, and Russell J. (Dawn) McCannon; grandchildren, Owen and Lillian Reid; Adyson and Cadence Reid; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Oliver- "The Majestic Beast."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Todd; and son, Michael Reid.
