Corey J. McCubbin, 40, of Milan, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island. On this day, God, received a very special angel.

A celebration of life gathering will be from 4 pm to 6 pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Memorials may be made to the family.

Corey was born August 26, 1975 in Rock Island, the son of Michael and Debra (Ramsey) McCubbin. He was a big teddy bear and was loved by everybody, especially his mother. Corey enjoyed taking care of his cars, and was a great detailer keeping them spotless. He also loved his shoes, and had quite the collection. Corey loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Corey is survived by his mother, Debra (Terry Sr.) Patrick, Milan; son, Kyle Hostens, Rock Island; grandchildren, Daithan, Myles, and Cahri Hostens, all of Rock Island; brothers, Shane McCubbin, Milan and Terry Patrick Jr., Chicago; sister, Cara (Chad) Horton, Milan; maternal grandfather, Joe Ramsey, Milan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael McCubbin; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Betty McCubbin; uncle, Randy Ramsey; and grandmother, Nana Ramsey.
