Cynthia M. Shine, 59, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at her residence.

Cynthia was born on September 16, 1962 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of James Shine and Annie (Pressly) Gooden.  She worked as a CNA at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Island.  Cynthia was very dedicated at her job and loved all of her residents as they were her family.  She will be remembered as a great jokester who always could put a smile on your face when telling her jokes.  Cynthia loved cats, but most of all loved the time spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family, but she is reunited with her mother, Annie Gooden, whom she missed dearly.

Cynthia is survived by her brothers, Dwayne and Anthony Shine; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Dwaun Shine, Anthony Reese, Brashandra Armstrong, and Camron and Carmello Shine, Love you Auntie and we will miss you!  She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Gooden.
