Obituary

Dakota James Casper passed away suddenly on October 29, 2021 in Kirkland, WA, leaving everyone that knew him reeling.

Dakota was born December 3, 1992 in El Paso, TX to Angel Casper (Larkin) and Brett Casper.

Dakota was a friend to everyone; There was nothing he wouldn't do for a friend; they were family to him. He would literally give you the shirt off his own back if you needed it. He loved nothing more than playing the latest video game (that he had waited up all night to buy) and working on his computer.

His heart belonged to the mountains, and he felt the most at home with his family, camping and fishing. But you can't talk about Dakota without mentioning his love for animals and his passion for cars and music. Music spoke to Dakota in a way few people would ever understand. Whether he was listening to music, playing guitars or directing that energy into helping other pursue their musical passions, music was a huge part of his life. He could spend hours talking to you about cars if you let him and even turned that love of cars into a career as a mechanic.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, BJ Scrogham and John Larkin; his stepfather, Shane Ohlson; and three young uncles, as well as far too many friends.

He is survived by his parents, Angel Casper and Brett and Janice Casper; siblings, Joshua Larkin, Ashleigh Gray, Allison Cameron, Mary Deloris Freeman; grandparents, Kevin Casper and Carma Erickson; his nephews, Oliver, Drake, Payton, Breslin, Ciaran, Sloan and many wonderful cousins.

Services are at Memory Gardens (Business Highway 10) on November 13th at 1pm in Richmond, MO. with a gathering held immediately after.
