Dale Hoffman, 71, of Moline, died Sunday, November 27, 2022 at home.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A memorial service will be 12:30 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Avenue, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 12:30 pm Wednesday at the Knox Chapel.  Memorials may be made in care of Living Land and Waters or the QC Animal Welfare Center.

Dale was born on July 9, 1951 in Moline, a son of Wayne and Bertha Hauptman Hoffman.  He married Teresa Freiburg in Rock Island in 1978.

Dale graduated from Moline High School.  He was a spirited entrepreneur, founding Midwest Sustainable Energy, Moline.  He was an animal lover and avid Illini and Bears fan.  He believed in doing everything he could to make the environment a better place one oak tree at a time.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Teresa Freiburg Hoffman, Moline; children, Brandt Hoffman, Chicago, Bryce Hoffman and his spouse, Noe Gamon Hoffman, Chicago and Brady Hoffman, Moline; an honorary granddaughter, Savanna; brothers, Alan Hoffman, California and Scott Hoffman, Colorado; and his loving dog, Sammie.
