Ivan "Dale" Jones, 78, of Milan, IL, passed away Monday June 1, 2015 at his home.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Preemption Cemetery, Preemption, IL. Memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to Unity Point Hospice.
Ivan was born June 20, 1936 in Rock Island, IL, a son of Henry E. and Grace (Allen) Jones. He attended Rock Island High School, Class of 1955. Dale and Alice Johnson were united in marriage on August 24, 1957 in Milan.
Dale was a member of the Teamsters Local 371. He retired from Dohrn Transfer in 1985.
He enjoyed his family and raising Simmental cattle on the family farm.
Surviving are his wife, Alice, of Milan; sons and daughters-in-law, Dale (Bonnet) Jones, Long Grove, IA, Gale (Pam) Jones, Coal Valley, IL, and Bryan (Shelly) Jones, Milan; grandchildren, Crystal (Jim) Dilts, Jessica (Dalton), Casey, Dana, Ben, and Alex Jones; brothers, Rondy Jones, Silver City, NM, and Frank Jones, Alliance, NE; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Al, Arvil, Daniel and Ed Jones; and his sister, Madge Barlang.
