Dale J. McCannon, 56, of Peoria, formerly of Taylor Ridge, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island, with military honors provided by Moline Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Veteran's Haven, Peoria.

Dale was born November 9, 1959 in Rock Island the son of James and Janice (Daxon) McCannon. He was employed by Local 18 as a concrete finisher, and served our country in the United States Air Force.

Dale is survived by his parents, Jim and Janice McCannon, Taylor Ridge; maternal-grandmother, Mary Rita Daxon; children, Tyler and Lindsey McCannon, both of Des Moines, IA; sister, Deborah (Steve) Holstein, Champaign, IL; and brother, Patrick (Tracy) McCannon, Park View, IA.
