Dale L. Williams , 70, of Milan, IL, passed away Tuesday March 30, 2021 at Centennial Nursing Home, Moline, IL.

A private live-streamed memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Pastor Donald William Johnson will officiate. Memorial visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to services. Inurnment, with military honors, will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Dale was born March 13, 1951 in Rock Island, Illinois, a son of Roscoe and Leola Payne Williams. He graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1969.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. While in the Navy, he was a Jet engine mechanic. He married Geraldine Coney. She preceded him in death on January 22, 2001.

Dale accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed nature, feeding the birds, reading, playing chess and pool.

Surviving are his life companion, Kellie Blanchard, of Milan; son, Darnelle Thrasher, San Diego, CA; Uncle, Henry Williams, and his wife Yvonne, El Paso, TX; numerous cousins and other family; and his beloved dog, Charlie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and his brother, Lewis Strickland.
