Daniel “Butch” Robert Stromberg, a spirited soul with a love for speed and adventure, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, in Rock Island, Illinois. He was born on December 14, 1965, in Moline, Illinois, to Robert Allen and Anna Louise Potts Stromberg.

Butch worked as a truck driver and mechanic for various companies throughout the years. He was known for his passion for motorcycles and cars, always chasing the thrill of the ride. With his badass mullet and adventurous spirit, he truly lived life to the fullest. When he wasn’t tearing up the roads, you could find him fishing at the slough, lifting weights, collecting antique furniture, or jamming out to his favorite old vinyl records. 

He is survived by his son, Sky Pogue; his sisters, Deidra Maeann Golden and Viktoria Kristalynn Stromberg; his half-siblings, Phiama Krakliow and Quanee George; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Eric Stromberg.
