Danis L. "Dani" Lindholme, 73, of Rock Island, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her home. Memorial services for Mrs. Lindholme will be 10:30 am, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at First Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4 pm to 7 pm, Friday, November 23, 2018 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Inurnment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Shriners Hospital for Children or to First Lutheran Church, Rock Island.
Danis L. Walker was born on February 6, 1945 in Dixon, a daughter of Ferris and Winifred (Richardson) Walker. She graduated from Dixon High School in 1963. And attended the Dixon School of Nursing. She married Robert "Rob" Lindholme on May 2, 1964 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2010. Dani worked was the cafeteria manager at Washington Junior High School for the Rock Island-Milan School District, retiring in 2008 after 28 years of service. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Dani and her husband, Rob where co-founding members of the Quad City Cruisers and the Blackhawk Chapter of the Pontiac-Oakland Club International. Dani will be remembered for her wonderful personality, beautiful smile and her willingness to help others. She loved her cats, "Desi", "Lucy" and "Pearl".
Survivors include her children, Terron (Denise) Lindholme, Seattle, Washington, Jerry (Lisa) Lindholme, Hendersonville, North Carolina, Andrew (Crystal) Lindholme, Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren; siblings, John (Pam) Walker, Texas, Susan Meany (David Dempsey), Dixon, Becky (John) Reilly, Janet (Dean) Freil, Dixon; and several nieces and nephews.
