Danny Lee Fullington, 72, Milan, IL passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by family and under the care of hospice. There will be a visitation from 10-11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Burial with military honors at the Rock Island National Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the First Presbyterian Church in Milan. Memorials may be made to the family.

Danny was born February 4, 1951 in Hartville, MO, the son of Harvey and Kathy Nivens. He was the oldest brother of nine and surviving siblings include, Sherry Nivens and Tim (Debbie) Nivens. On April 30, 1988 he married the love of his life, Lorie Hayes in Davenport, IA. Danny had four wonderful children Jessica Fullington, of Milan, Elizabeth (Nick) Duyvejonck of Andover, Danielle (Chris) Chalder of Coal Valley, Austin (Alli) Fullington of Milan. His grandchildren were his pride and joy-Rachel Fuller, Natalee Fuller, Keaton Chalder, Kyler Duyvejonck, Reese Taylor, Jayden Fullington, and Mya Duyvejonck.

He was a proud Veteran that served for the US Army and was stationed in Vietnam. He worked construction as a laborer for Local 309 retiring  after 25 years and over 35 years of membership. He enjoyed yardwork, going on motorcycle rides, and helping his friends and family. He loved all animals especially his special girl, Daisy May. Danny enjoyed relaxation sessions with his son and sons-in-law, spending time with his grandchildren, going to estate sales-anything to keep himself busy in retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; three sisters; granddaughter, Aubrey Kline; his father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Marianna Hayes.
