Danny S. Smith, 59, of Sherrard, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his home with his wife, Colleen at his side. Services for Danny will be 10 am, Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the German Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Danny was born on July 26, 1958 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, a son of David and Donna McGinnis Smith. He married Colleen Worton on April 11, 1981 in Preemption. Danny worked at Servus Rubber Co./ Norcross for 33 years, where he received many awards for his years of service. He later worked at Walmart, Silvis. Danny was a Minnesota Viking fan and a secret Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, animals and spending time with his grandkids. He was an excellent cook and made a mean meatloaf. Danny was a member of Cable Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Colleen; children, Danielle Smith, Moline and Donavan Smith (April Bellmeyer), Sherrard; grandchildren, Cameron, Coner and Cullen; several nieces and nephews; half-sister, Lisa, Peoria.
