Darla A. Moran, 56, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Darla was born January 10, 1967, in Rock Island, the daughter of James D. Dill and Juanita A. Barrett . She married Timothy "Tim" J. Moran on November 23, 1985, in Reynolds, IL. Darla was an account specialist at Mid-American Energy for 10 years retiring in December of 2023.

Darla spent lots of time being outdoors taking in the beautiful nature around her. She was the first women to become a member of the Quad Cities Bass Club. Darla was also a member of the Rock Island Conservation Club. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. Darla spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren, building fairy gardens and baking delicious treats. She loved having butterfly and hummingbird feeders outside the house. She spent her days with her life companion, which was her dog Max.

Darla enjoyed several inside activities as well. She loved to cook, scrapbook, and read. She also liked to complete Diamond Dot Paintings and solve puzzles. Darla enjoyed her weekly trips to the Dollar Tree which she called the "$100 Store".

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Timothy "Joe" (Aubrey) Moran and Donetta "Babe" Moran; grandchildren, Makenzy, Madelyn, Savannah, Vivian, and Jordan; sister, Towanda "Terri" (Randy) Skiff; nephews, Brian (Heather) Bristol, Matthew Bristol; nieces, Sarah (Taylor) Jaehning, Casandra Dill, Hannah Dill; step-nephew, Joe (Caitlyn) Skiff; step-niece, Jamie (Kyle) Schroeder; several great nieces and nephews; aunt, Renee Barrett; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tim; sister, Crystal Dill; and niece, Elaina Dill.
