Darlene J. Caudill, 75, of Coal Valley, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Darlene will be 11 am, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Illinois City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Darlene was born on February 4, 1939 in Moline, a daughter of Glenn Wheeler and Grace Havner Wheeler. She married Tom Brown in 1958. Later she married Bob Caudill in 1968. She graduated from Sterling Beauty Academy in 1958. Darlene worked as an inspector at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline for 28 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member UAW Local No. 865. She attended the Moline Church of Christ and CASI, Davenport. Darlene went on several mission trips to Russia and China.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda (James) Mundy, Rock Island and Christine Smith and her fiancée, Tom Curran, Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Brandon Brown and Joshua Brown; great grandchildren, Zach, Brealiegh, Trevor, Kyler and Aceyn; siblings, Bernie Wheeler, Rock Island, Glenn D. (Peggy) Wheeler, Illinois City, Janet Monholland, Davenport, Gary (Paula) Wheeler, Wisconsin and Karen Lenard, Davenport.
