Darlene D. Fout, 92, of Rock Island, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left in care of QC Paws.

Darlene was born on July 14, 1932 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of James B. and Delona M. (Laughton) Drain. She married Jerry Griffin Fout in November of 1984 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2009. Before retirement, Darlene most recently worked in the circulation department for the Argus Dispatch.

Darlene's hobbies included playing piano, rolle bolle and horse racing.

Those left to cherish Darlene's memory include her daughters, Debbie (Mike) Moeller and Cindy (Jim) Sandusky; step children, John (Molly) Fout, Theresa (Jay) Griffey, James Fout, Robert (Nicole) Fout, Joe (Rita) Fout, Cynthia (David) Hanna, Tom (Michelle) Fout, Mike (Karen) Fout and Katherine (Mike) Bellis; grandchildren, Eric Moran, Brian Moran, Cassie Leffler, Emily, Dakota, Griffin, Lauren, Julia, Whitney, Ian, Craig, Mitch, Collin, Emily, Sam, Courtney, Tammie, Christen, Tyler, Alexandra and Patrick; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsie, Aiden James, Ariah, Parker and Brady; and brother, Timothy (Helen) Drain.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
