A private service was held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at St Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island for Darlene M. Lingris, 90 of 664 S. Howell, Pinckney, MI (formerly of Moline), where she was a past member.  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Darlene died Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Wellbridge of Pinckney, Pinckney, Michigan.

She was born on September 6, 1935, in Moline, the daughter of Madeline and Alphons Dhaenens.

She was a graduate of Alleman High School and was employed by Clarence Bendle and Associates as an Accounting Assistant. In 1956, she married John Lingris. They were married until his passing in 2013. While married, they had a son, Thomas, Howell, Michigan and a daughter, Catherine (deceased). Darlene was an avid bridge player and traveler and enjoyed making visits to Europe, Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Survivors include her son, Thomas, daughter-in-law, Susan, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a sister-in law, Suzanne (Moline), and one niece and two nephews.
